Our Affiliation
We are affiliated with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana). It is a global movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s mission in the world. We’re committed to the mission that Jesus Christ gave every believer: to make disciples of all nations. You will find a diversity of convictions and practices within the Church of God. Though we have differences, we share a common story of faith, growing together into the fullness of Christ.
Senior Pastor Frank Vargas
Pastor Frank and his wife, Connie, began in ministry over 35 years ago as youth leaders. Frank became the senior pastor at Active Word Ministries in Columbia Falls in 2008. He takes great delight in mentoring young men in the ministry. He enjoys searching for antiques and collectibles. Frank and Connie have two adult daughters. Mandy and her husband, Lyam Blume, both serve in ministry at Active Word and have four children. Nicole Vargas lives in Saline, Michigan with her two daughters. Frank and Connie love spending time with their grandchildren.
Associate Pastor Alex Morse
Pastor Alex with his wife Liana. Alex was born and raised in the Flathead Valley. He and his wife Liana were married in 2018 after she moved to Montana from California. They have four kids, Jack who is enlisted in the United States Army. Lucy, Aaron and Naomi who are of school age and still living at home. Alex was ordained as a pastor in the Church Of God in 2023. Alex also works at The Gateway Of Hope, a sober living ministry that provides housing, and focuses on Christian discipleship for men who struggle with addiction. Liana is the bookkeeper for the Lighthouse Christian Home, a group home for adults with developmental disabilities. Alex’s greatest desire is for others to know Christ and experience the salvation, love, grace and mercy that only comes through knowing Christ as Lord and Savior.
Lyam and Mandy. Lyam is our worship leader, and Mandy is our Sunday School teacher.
